If I had to pick one piece of media that changed how I see the world, it would be The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
Before reading it, I thought success was mostly about following a safe and predictable path. The book introduced me to a different idea: that personal dreams matter, and that life often rewards those who have the courage to pursue them.
What stayed with me wasn’t just the story of Santiago’s journey. It was the reminder that growth happens when we step beyond comfort and listen to our inner calling. The book made me pay more attention to opportunities, coincidences, and the lessons hidden in everyday experiences.
Years later, I still don’t agree with every idea in the book, but its core message continues to resonate with me: the journey toward a meaningful life is often as important as the destination itself.
That’s one reason why I love reading. A single book can quietly reshape how we think, what we value, and the choices we make.
