What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?
There’s a strange pressure to have everything figured out as quickly as possible. Pick the perfect career. Earn more. Own more. Become more.
If I could offer one piece of advice to someone younger than me, it would be this:
Don’t rush your story. Build it one page at a time.
You will make mistakes, change your mind, lose opportunities, and discover new dreams. None of that means you’re behind. Growth is rarely a straight line. It looks more like a bookshelf filled over the years, where every book adds something different.
Read widely. Ask questions. Stay curious. The knowledge you collect today will quietly become the wisdom you rely on tomorrow.
Choose kindness over winning every argument, consistency over shortcuts, and learning over pretending to know everything.
And perhaps the most important lesson: compare yourself less. Every person is reading a different chapter of life.
Years from now, you probably won’t remember every grade, every trend, or every social media post. But you will remember the people who believed in you, the books that changed your thinking, and the moments when you decided not to give up.
So be patient with yourself. Keep turning the page.
The best chapters are often the ones you never planned.
