Emperor Palpatine has announced open elections for a new Emperor — and he’s nominated Darth Vader. You get to nominate one challenger.
The galaxy has spoken… or at least Emperor Palpatine says it can.
If Darth Vader is running for Emperor, my challenger is Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Before anyone reaches for a lightsaber, hear me out.
Vader commands fear. Thrawn commands strategy.
Vader wins battles through overwhelming power. Thrawn studies cultures, predicts his opponents, and often wins before the first shot is fired. If running an empire is about keeping billions of worlds functioning instead of constantly putting out rebellions, I’d rather have someone who thinks three moves ahead.
Would Thrawn be a perfect ruler? Probably not. The Empire would still be… well, the Empire. But if we’re choosing between a man who solves every problem by Force-choking someone and a leader who prefers careful planning, my vote is easy.
