If you had to be an animal for a week, which one would you be and why?
If I had to be an animal for a week, I’d choose to be a dog.
Not because they have the easiest life. Plenty of them don’t.
I’d want to be the one who waits at the door every evening, convinced that the best part of the day is seeing their human walk back home. The one who forgives instantly. Who celebrates ordinary moments like they’re festivals. The one who loves without keeping score.
Dogs have mastered something humans spend a lifetime chasing: unconditional love.
What breaks my heart is how many of them never get to experience it.
A wagging tail shouldn’t have to beg for food. Kind eyes shouldn’t have to fear a raised hand. Every abandoned puppy was once someone’s responsibility. Every rescued dog is proof that compassion still exists.
If I could spend a week as a dog, I’d hope it’s with a family that scratches behind my ears for no reason, talks to me like I’m part of every conversation, and thinks of me as family, not property.
Because that’s what pets are.
They don’t care about your salary, your job title, your car, or how many followers you have. They only care that you came home.
Maybe that’s why I love animals so much. They remind us of the version of ourselves the world often convinces us to forget: kinder, gentler, and capable of loving without conditions.

To them, you are not just their owner.
You are their whole world. ❤️🐾
