How do you make time for self-care?
Self-care doesn’t always mean a spa day, a vacation, or an entire day away from responsibilities.
For me, it starts with something much simpler: making a little space for myself every day.
📖 I read. Even a few pages can slow down a busy mind. Books give me a chance to step away from screens, work, and everyday noise.
🚶 I take a break. Sometimes doing absolutely nothing for a few minutes is exactly what the brain needs.
📵 I disconnect. Putting the phone away, even briefly, helps me be present instead of constantly reacting to notifications.
🧠 I reflect. I try to notice what is actually exhausting me and what genuinely gives me energy. Self-care becomes much easier when you understand your own needs.
And perhaps the most important part: I don’t treat rest as something I have to earn.
Life will always have another task waiting. There will always be another email, another deadline, another responsibility.
But taking care of yourself isn’t wasting time.
Sometimes, it’s how you get the energy to use the rest of your time better.
