Synopsis:

This powerful contrast sets the stage for the second book of the Shiva Trilogy, where the hunt for truth and vengeance begins in earnest. Today, Shiva is worshipped as a god. Four thousand years ago, he was simply a man. After the brutal murder of his friend Brahaspati and the growing threat to his wife, Sati, Shiva sets out to confront the sinister Naga warrior responsible. As the prophesied destroyer of evil, he refuses to rest, convinced that his path will inevitably lead him to the Nagas, the mysterious serpent people.

Signs of darkness are everywhere. A once-great kingdom is pushed toward collapse over a miracle drug, a crown prince is assassinated, and the Vasudevs, Shiva’s own philosophical guides, betray his faith by turning to forbidden forces. Even Meluha, the seemingly perfect empire, hides a horrifying secret within Maika, the city of births. Unbeknownst to Shiva, an unseen mastermind is manipulating events from the shadows, pulling the strings of a far larger game.

As Shiva’s journey carries him across the vast landscape of ancient India, he searches for truth in a world riddled with deception, where nothing is quite what it appears. Fierce battles, unexpected alliances, and shocking revelations shape this epic continuation of the saga. Darker, deeper, and more complex, this sequel to The Immortals of Meluha expands the myth, drawing readers further into a tale where destiny, doubt, and divinity collide.

My Experience:

I finished this book in a single day.
The story felt very close to my own imagination.
Much of it was familiar and largely predictable for me.
That familiarity made the reading smooth and effortless.
I found myself moving quickly from chapter to chapter.
There was a strange comfort in knowing where things were heading.
At the same time, it kept me curious enough to continue.
By the final pages, the story clearly set the stage for what comes next.
It left me with unanswered questions and rising anticipation.
Now, I’m eagerly waiting for the final part.
